Roots and Growth
By Lee Brinckley - Web Marketing Director 9.28.09
In an earlier blog post, Jason talks about brand evolution as necessary and a natural progression in the life of a business. Well…I suppose you could say that we practiced what we preached.
After 37 years, we launched a new brand identity this year including a new logo, website and collateral material. To celebrate our re-branding, we sent out a marketing piece to our current customers and potential new customers that centered around our “Roots” (37-year establishment as a business) and our continued “Growth” (in new areas, and as a team).
The marketing piece included a card emphasizing our “Roots” and “Growth”, along with a baby Meyer Spruce tree. Since the mailing, we have received emails and phone calls from existing and potential clients expressing how much they loved the piece.
We received an email from an individual in Flagstaff, Arizona after he received the mailer:
“Thanks for the tree! Having been responsible for putting about 100K of these puppies in the ground, it brought good memories to mind…and reminders of a sore back. So, I put my 4yr old daughter in charge of putting it in the ground, which she thoroughly enjoyed – and did a good job too! She has even been making daily trips out to water it.”
Below is a picture sent by Chris Hernandez, Chicago Local 597, after he planted his tree. We are thrilled that our mailer is really being appreciated by those who received it.
